UNICEF
UNICEF is the United Nations Children’s Fund, the driving force that helps build a world where the rights of every child are realised. Working in 190 countries and territories, UNICEF focuses on improving the lives of the most disadvantaged and excluded children.
We fundraise for and support international development programs focusing on education, child protection, child survival, nutrition, water, sanitation and hygiene, and humanitarian emergencies.
The Australian National Committee for UNICEF (UNICEF Australia) was established in 1966 with the purpose of supporting UNICEF’s global mission. We do this by raising funds for overseas programs and by advocating for children’s rights internationally and domestically. We work with local government and advocate bodies to defend children’s rights here in Australia and abroad, while supporting international development programs.
UNICEF is funded entirely by businesses, foundations and governments, and by the voluntary donations of generous and caring individuals.
You can be the reason that every child has a chance. By remembering UNICEF Australia in your will, you can ensure that children around the world have a promising future. If you have questions about leaving a gift in your will, or would like to know more about UNICEF’s global impact, please contact Hannah Cifuentes, Gifts in Wills Manager, on 02 8917 3245, or at hcifuentes@unicef.org.au.
